Terms of Service

Updated May 15, 2026

Status: Working draft pending legal/insurance review. Live content will be reviewed by the PO and insurer before public launch.

The service

Tiny Books is a software-as-a-service tool for capturing receipts, categorising expenses to Finnish Form 5 lines, and exporting tax-ready documents. It is not an accounting service, a tax filing service, or a tilitoimisto.

Your account

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

Payment

Tiny Books is offered on a monthly or annual subscription. The current pricing is on the pricing page. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not offer prorated refunds.

A free trial is available; you can cancel any time during the trial without being charged.

Acceptable use

Don’t upload illegal content or someone else’s data without their permission. Don’t try to break the service.

Your data

Your receipts, account details, and any other data you put into Tiny Books remain yours. You can export your full archive at any time. Slantedt Tmi makes no claim of ownership over your business records.

The toiminimi proprietor (you) is the legal record-holder under Kirjanpitolaki. Tiny Books does not offer a long-term retention guarantee. The export is the compliance feature.

Termination

You can cancel any time. After cancellation, your account and data remain accessible during a grace window; after that, your data is deleted from our active systems. Backups follow Cloudflare’s standard retention schedule.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms; in those cases we provide a window to export your data before deletion where reasonable.

Warranty disclaimer

Tiny Books is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or that it will produce a filing-ready export under all circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing exports before submitting them to Verohallinto.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tiny Books in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are resolved in Finnish courts.

Changes

We update these terms when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated by email and reflected here with a new updatedAt date.
